Kim has served on the Charitable Trust Board which manages GCK for many years so is well versed with the kindy. Her three children have passed through GCK too! She holds a Bachelor of Education (cum laude) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Dyslexia & Learning Difficulties and has taught on 3 continents for a combined 14 years. As a committed Christian, Kim's personal values align strongly with the values and vision of the kindy.
Karen joined GCK late in 2019 after many years teaching at a kindergarten in St Lukes. As a fully qualified ECE teacher with both a Diploma in Child Studies and a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood), Karen brings over 20 years of experience, passion and a will to make a difference which will stand GCK in good stead in the future.
Melinda originally trained in Australia and worked in kindergartens in Australia, England and New Zealand before having her three children. After relieving at GCK for nearly 18 months she was delighted to accept a permanent position. Melinda works two days a week and she holds a B.A and a Dip Tch (ECE).
Andrea joined GCK late in 2019. She had previously worked at Kohimarama Montessori Preschool for a period of time before having children and deciding to take a break with her 3 daughters. Latterly she has taught at Ponsonby Montessori Kindergarten and the Carol White Family Centre at Selwyn College. Andrea is passionate about connecting with staff, children, families and the wider community.
Catherine joined GCK in 2012 and teaches 3 days a week. She completed her diploma of teaching through Auckland University in 2008. Although based in Glendowie for many years she has lived in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. She is married with 3 children who attend Glendowie College. Catherine holds a B.A and Grad Dip Tch (ECE).

Nelleke was born in Cape Town, South Africa and studied Radiography. She lived and worked in SA and the UK before emigrating to New Zealand in 2007. After being a stay-at-home mum for some time, Nelleke accepted a dual role of teaching assistant and office administrator. She loves working with young children and enjoys their natural curiosity
Rose has been associated with GCK in a number of capacities for many years. Her grandmother was one of the founders of GCK and and she also attended GCK as one of its first pupils in 1996! In late 2012 she returned to her old kindy and now works two days a week. Rose holds a Certificate in Early Childhood Practice through Open Polytechnic.
