Teacher May 2024

Higher diploma in Education Primary

I was born and lived in South Africa for most of my life. I immigrated to New Zealand at the beginning of 2019 with my family - my husband and 2 (now teenage) boys.  I have always known even from a young age that teaching young children is my passion and my pathway.  I have worked in early childhood for 20 years, in Durban South Africa and then in Auckland in a kindergarten in Ellerslie for 5 years. I love to work in relationship with children, their families and my colleagues in order to create a solid, heart-filled foundation for children. I'm at GCK 4 days a week.

I am a fully qualified and registered Early Childhood Education (ECE) teacher in New Zealand.  I have over 20 years of experience working with children in ECE centres and primary schools across the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.  I believe every child is unique and full of potential. My passion is to nurture their spiritual, emotional, and intellectual growth in a Christ-centred, inclusive environment. I strive to build strong relationships with children and families, fostering a sense of belonging for all cultural backgrounds. Beyond my teaching qualifications, I bring creativity and enthusiasm to the classroom through music, arts, and interactive learning. I'm at GCK 5 days a week.
